Meet Dr. Goddard

Dr. Goddard is board certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. Prior to joining the Altoona Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Goddard practiced in Pittsburgh, PA.

Dr. Adam C. Goddard originally hails from Pocatello, Idaho where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Idaho State University. After completing his undergraduate education, Dr. Goddard obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia.

His aspirations then took him to Memphis, Tennessee where he completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. He gained extensive experience in dental implant surgery, facial trauma, oral pathology, reconstructive surgery and corrective jaw surgery. Dr. Goddard further completed an accredited fellowship in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi. His training in all aspects of oral and facial surgery allow him to provide a wide range of services to his patients.

Dr. Goddard enjoys both the academic and clinical aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery where he has conducted research relating to various oral and maxillofacial surgery topics; all of which have been published in peer-reviewed journals. He has also lectured on numerous topics related to oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. Goddard is passionate about community service and volunteering his surgical skills to help those in need. He has participated in multiple humanitarian mission trips both locally with the Mission of Mercy Foundation and internationally with various organizations that have taken him to Africa, Central America and the Caribbean.

In his free time, Dr. Goddard and his wife, Dr. Lyndsey Goddard, enjoy spending time outdoors with their son, daughter & black lab. Dr. Goddard is an avid outdoorsman as he enjoys fly fishing, upland game hunting, alpine skiing and backpacking. Dr. Goddard & Lyndsey are excited to be part of the Altoona community and look forward to raising their family in central Pennsylvania.
